Yes. I design residential solar, battery backup and roof replacements for Middletown homeowners, and Premier Improvements has finished at least 15 projects in Middletown. Our office at 71 Raymond Rd in West Hartford is about 14 miles from Middletown.
Middletown is one of our busiest towns, with at least 15 completed projects on record. On bigger lots in Westfield and the south end, I price a ground mount next to a roof mount so you compare both. If outages worry you, I show you real battery backup options.
I also work in nearby Berlin, Rocky Hill and East Hampton.

Common Questions
Do you install solar and roofs in Middletown, CT?
Yes. I design residential solar, battery backup and roof replacements for Middletown homeowners, and Premier Improvements has finished at least 15 projects in Middletown. Our office at 71 Raymond Rd in West Hartford is about 14 miles from Middletown.
Who is the electric utility in Middletown, and how does solar pay there?
Middletown homes are on Eversource, so new solar enrolls in Connecticut's 20-year RRES program. Buy-All pays a fixed $0.3289 per kWh for systems enrolling in 2026, plus $0.032 per kWh when you own the system. Netting lets your production offset what you use, with a 4.02 cent per kWh charge on all production.
How do I get the solar property tax exemption in Middletown?
Residential solar is exempt from Connecticut property tax and sales tax. File the exemption form with the Middletown assessor by November 1 after your system is installed.
Should I replace my roof before going solar in Middletown?
If the roof will need replacing during the life of the panels, yes. Removing and reinstalling panels later adds cost. A Smart-E loan can cover up to 25 percent non-energy work, like the new roof under your solar.
Does Connecticut pay for a home battery?
Yes. Since April 1, 2026, the Energy Storage Solutions program pays $30 per kWh to enroll, or $130 per kWh on grid edge circuits, plus $300 to $550 per kW each year for 10 years in exchange for letting the utility use the battery during peak events.
